It has been our pleasure for six consecutive years to bring you the Metro Market Week, which takes place in late September in individual showrooms and world headquarters throughout New York and New Jersey. Established in 2004 by a group of New York- and New Jersey-based rug wholesalers, Metro Market Week created an exciting and cost-effective market that allows wholesalers in the region to invite buyers into their home showrooms, rather than into an off-site facility. The result allows Metro Market Week members to show far more product than is possible in any other rug market.
Each year, the Market Week membership offers a full array of products, from hand-knotted to hand-tufted rugs to machine-mades and fine antiques. All segments of the industry are represented with huge amounts of readily available inventory. The goal of Metro Market Week is to continue building the annual event into the industry's premier wholesale market event — offering greater product selection, convenience, cost-effectiveness and excitement to rug buyers from across the country and around the globe.
